Learn to play ice hockey with the pros

AdventHealth Center Ice is a place where ice hockey players from around Tampa Bay will test their skills. Whether you are new to the sport or looking to join a league, there are numerous youth programs available at our facility. We offer a multitude of youth ice hockey programming to ensure that there is something for every age and skill level. From Rec League to Hockey Camps and Hockey Clinics, getting into the sport of hockey is easy with AdventHealth Center Ice!

Youth Rec League

Our in-house Rec Hockey program has 22 teams ranging from U8 to U16. Each hockey season runs for 4 months, with practices and games on weekends. This program is perfect for athletes who are ready to take their skills to the ice in a game format.

  • Includes 24 ice sessions and one game sweater with name/number.
  • Registration closes once the division is full
  • Athletes must complete AHCI's Hockey 101 & 201 before joining our Rec League
  • Full Equipment is required (including neck guards)
  • Participating skaters must have valid USA Hockey Registration

AHCI’s Hockey Department reserves the right to adjust ALL ROSTERS through Week 5. This is to maintain a fair, fun, and competitive league.

All players must have a valid USA Hockey # for the 2023-2024 season before stepping on the ice.

AHCI follows the basic of rules of USA Hockey and is committed to offering a fun, fair and competitive Rec Hockey League.

Full gear including skates, shin pads, elbow pads, shoulder pads, gloves, helmet with cage, pants, cup and stick. Jerseys are handed out once teams have been finalized.

Between 20-25 ice times (includes practice, games, and playoffs).

All AHCI Rec League games and practice are held are at AdventHealth Center Ice.

There are no tryouts or cuts. We hold evaluations at the beginning of each season to form teams that are as equal and competitive as possible.

Fall: September-December

Winter: January-April

Yes! Gift Cards can be used towards Rec League and they can be purchased at the Front Desk or online.
